Helsinki-based Supermetrics is set to create 100 jobs in Ireland over the next two years as it opens a dedicated Dublin office.
The roles will mainly be in sales and marketing, the company said, across a range of experience, from junior sales development representative roles to enterprise sales.
Supermetrics, which offers a data integration tool that automatically collates data for marketers, is currently based in Dogpatch Labs in Dublin.
The Dublin office joins the company’s existing offices in Helsinki, Vilnius, Atlanta and Singapore. Its first Dublin hire was Gabrielle Stafford, the chief marketing officer of the company, who joined a year ago, and was the catalyst for the company choosing to open an office in Ireland.

Founder and chief executive Mikael Thuneberg said he came up with the idea for Supermetrics due to his own experience of manually collating the marketing data.
“A lot of companies are doing their marketing online. Typically, if you do marketing online, you will use a lot of different channels — you can advertise on Google search, on Facebook, LinkedIn, many other places,” he said. “You have a lot of different tools in use on different advertising networks, where you are investing your money. If you don’t have any way of getting all of this data together, then it’s very difficult to see how all of your investment is paying off. We help you access all of that data in one place.”
The company is hiring fast, he said. And should have 25—30 people here by the end of the year.
Mr Thuneberg did not rule out establishing more technical roles in Ireland, saying it would depend on the skills they could find here. At present, most of the product development and technical roles are based in Helsinki.
“We are growing the team a lot — in product development, marketing, sales, customer service. For many of these roles, we are agnostic on where they are located,” he said, adding that Dublin was an area where they could find high-quality talent, and he expected the operation here to grow based on that.
Global hub
“This announcement further underscores Ireland’s position as a global hub for the world’s leading tech companies,” said Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail Damien English.
“I have no doubt that Dublin will play a significant role in supporting the growth of the business — we have a track record as an established tech hub in Europe with a skilled workforce.”
The news of the expansion was welcomed by IDA Ireland chief executive Martin Shanahan.
“Dublin remains a leading destination city for fast growing companies to establish operations here in order to serve and grow their customer base in the region,” he said. “Ireland has a track record of being an attractive location for software-as-a-service companies looking to access a well-established talent pool to scale quickly.”
Supermetrics has seen significant growth in recent months, with staff rising from 137 employees at the end of 2020 to 260 in 2022. The company is now targeting a total of 400 people by the end of the year. Turnover was €36.1 million, with a €6.1 million profit.
The company now has more than 17,000 customers, including well-known companies and organisations, such as HubSpot, Nestlé, Dow Jones, CDC, Ogilvy, Federal Government of Canada, Fox and Volvo.
