AIB said it has sorted out an issue that left thousands of customers using android devices unable to use its mobile app and online banking earlier on Friday.

“All services are working as normal and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Customers with any queries can contact us on 0818 724 724,” the bank said in a statement issued late afternoon.

Customers of AIB are said to have first started reporting issues with the app at around 4am.
