Irish dairy equipment manufacturer Dairymaster is to create 20 jobs at its headquarters in Causeway, Co Kerry, in 2014.
The jobs will be spread across engineering, manufacturing, marketing, research and development, and veterinary science. This follows an expansion of the company’s facilities in Kerry earlier this year.
“We are making this announcement at Christmas quite deliberately. With so many people home for the holidays, we think this is a great opportunity for them to learn of roles that match their skills available for them here in Ireland,” said Dairymaster chief executive and technical director Edmond Harty.
“Not only that but they’re in the incomparable county of Kerry – meaning beautiful countryside, a low cost of living and no traffic jams.”
This is the fourth time that Dairymaster has conducted a recruitment campaign around Christmas time.
Exports
Founded in 1968, Dairymaster has developed some of the most efficient equipment for milking cows. It exports its products to more than 40 countries and manufactures 95 per cent of its products at its Causeway base.
Mr Harty was voted Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 and represented Ireland at the world event earlier this year in Monaco.
As a family-owned, unlimited company, Dairymaster does not disclose any financial details about its operations.
