B of I creates new position

Bank of Ireland has named Mr Cyril Dunne (40) as its chief information officer.

Bank of Ireland has named Mr Cyril Dunne (40) as its chief information officer.

In the newly created position, Mr Dunne will oversee all information technology policy for the bank, with plans eventually to weave together its business areas and overall security through one computer network.

Mr Dunne was formerly a strategic development director with Tesco in Britain.
