A Georgian house at 19 Northumberland Road in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, which was derelict for a number of years before it was sold at a knockdown price in 2009, is back on the market after undergoing a major refurbishment. Savills is quoting €1.35 million for the three-storey over lower ground floor house which is in impeccable condition with most of its Georgian features restored.

The ground, first and second floors are let to Hussey Fraser Solicitors under a 10-year lease from 2011 at a rent of €42,000 per annum.

A spacious two-bedroom apartment at lower ground level is fitted out to a high standard and is vacant. Barry Lawless of Savills said 19 was a “must see for investors looking for a Georgian house in turn-key condition”.

The house is a few doors from 25 Northumberland Road which was used as a base by Irish Republican volunteers to stop British reinforcements crossing Mount Street Bridge on their planned journey into the city centre.
