Allsop Ireland has appointed Conor Whelan, a former director of BNP Paribas Real Estate, as director of investment and commercial agency and head of its private treaty business.
Allsop Ireland, currently developing an advisory side to its business, will rely on Mr Whelan to assemble a top-class team to provide a full service to its clients, including the sale of commercial property investments by private treaty to compliment its auction business. He has more than 16 years experience in the Irish commercial property market.
Significantly, the company has just been appointed letting agent on more than 20,000sq m of office accommodation at Cherrywood in south Dublin and Scotch House on Burgh Quay in Dublin 2.
Whelan said Allsop was key to the recovery of the Irish market and the private treaty to auction process had proven to be even more successful in a functioning market.
Allsop Ireland launched its online sales platform on February 20th and is now finalising its online closing tool, which will offer transparency to vendors and purchasers during the best bids process.
The company has transacted more than €529 million worth of property sales since 2011.
