A private investor has bought the freehold interests in the Brasserie Sixty6 restaurant at 66/67 South Great George’s Street in Dublin 2 for €2.6 million.

The restaurant extends to 456sq m (4,911sq ft) over two levels and can seat 220 diners. The tenant rents the building under two 35-year leases from 1996 at a contracted rent of €195,000 per annum.

Bryan Garry of QRE Real Estate, who handled the investment sale, said there was a notable increase in demand for leisure investments through the city centre as investors sought relief from yield compression in the office and high street retail sectors.
