Dublin lettings up by 21% in first three months of 2014

A total of 55,988sq m (602,679 sq ft) of office space was let in the Dublin office market in the first three months of this year, according to a new report from JLL.

The take-up was 21 per cent higher than in the same quarter in 2013.

About 70 per cent of the take-up was for office units of up to 929sq m (10,000 sq ft).

There were two lettings in excess of 4,645sq m (50,000sq ft).

Deirdre Costello of JLL said the limited choice in some locations and in certain size categories had led to further rental growth with prime rents now ranging from €409 to €452 per sq m (€38/€42 per sq ft).
