CEX and Walnut Grove lease units at popular retail site

CEX: to pay a rent of €30,000 for a 111sq m (1,200sq ft) unit in Monaghan

Agents JLL have enlisted traders to fill the last two vacant shops in Monaghan shopping centre.

Trader CEX is to pay a rent of €30,000 for a 111sq m (1,200sq ft) ground-floor shop with a small mezzanine. The electronics retailer is trading from 21 locations countrywide including Westmoreland Street in Dublin and the Omni and Stillorgan shopping centres.

Also in Monaghan, Walnut Grove, selling local gifts and clothing, has taken a four years and nine months lease of a 73sq m (785sq ft) shop at a rent of €20,000 per annum. Stephen Murray of JLL said the two final lettings underlined the improved trading climate in secondary locations.
