Dún Laoghaire residents will be happy to learn that The Natural Bakery is to open a new outlet at the former Aviva Insurance building on Lower George’s Street. The building has been let under a new lease at a rent of about €1.85 per sq ft (€20 per sq m). The Natural Bakery already operates branches in Donnybrook, Kilmainham, Ranelagh, Rathmines and Stillorgan and plans to open further outlets this year.

Niamh Sheahan of CBRE, who handled the letting, said the market was now seeing retailers starting to filter out to more suburban locations in order to expand their store portfolios.

Declan Bagnall of BDM Property acted for the tenant.
