Former CRH chief executive Myles Lee has been appointed to the board of directors of global diversified firm Ingersoll-Rand.

Lee retired from CRH in 2013, having joined the building materials group in 1982 and was appointed general manager of finance in 1988. In 2003, he was appointed finance director and member of the board of directors.

“The appointment of Myles Lee to our board lends direct global operational and financial expertise to Ingersoll Rand, along with critical insight into the building and construction sector,” said Michael W. Lamach, chairman and chief executive officer.

Lee will serve on the finance and audit committees. His appointment to the Ingersoll Rand board of directors is part of the board’s ongoing succession planning process.
