Those trying to grin bravely and bear the bad dot.com news over the past months might as well just sit down and pour a stiff one. News just out from the United States says that 8,789 people in the clicks sector have lost their jobs - just in November. The figure represents a 55 per cent rise on October, when 5,677 were axed - or perhaps we should say, deleted. Since last December, 31,056 dot.com people have been told their jobs are now non-existant, according to the charmingly - and seasonally - named Chicago outplacement firm Challenger Gray & Christmas.
