Minister for Communications and Energy Denis Naughten has appointed two new directors to the board of An Post and four new directors to the board of EirGrid.
Carol Bolger and Deirdre Burns will join An Post, while John Trethowan, Lynne Crowther, Theresa Donaldson and Eileen Maher have been added to the ranks at EirGrid.
On the An Post appointments, Mr Naughten said he was “delighted” with the additions.
“I believe that these appointments will add greatly to the expertise available to the board as it meets the challenges of the changing environment in which it operates,” he said. The appointments are for a period of five years effective from May 11th, 2017.
On the appointments to EirGrid, Mr Naughten said the “range and breadth of experience” of the four individuals would ensure that the company has access to “key expertise and competence”.
The appointments are for a period of five years effective from June 2nd, 2017.
