It will be brought into production through the 55km pipeline to Kenitra, the company said in an update.

The discovery brings to conclusion the Circle Oil drilling campaign for 2014 to 2015 in Morocco which has seen a total of 10 wells drilled.

"We are delighted with the result of CGD-13. This is the latest success in what has been an excellent campaign," said chief executive Mitch Flegg.

“In addition to drilling six successful wells and discovering additional reserves of gas, we have significantly deepened our understanding of both our Moroccan permits. This will provide a strong foundation for the future development of our Moroccan business.”
