Irish farmers will soon be able to purchase goods securely over their mobile phones thanks to a joint venture between the Buytel, the Irish Farmers Association and IMS Maxims.

The new venture, called Buywayz, offers the IFA's 85,000 members the opportunity to buy discounted goods through SMS, and is expected to be introduced by the end of the year.
