Unemployment in Northern Ireland has bucked the UK trend and continued to drop to a new low, according to figures released by the British government yesterday. The number out of work stands at 50,000, or 6.7 per cent - as measured by the International Labour Organisation - a reduction of 14,000 over the past year.
