JP Morgan Ireland's chief financial officer (CFO) Jonathon Lowey has been appointed chairman of the Federation of International Banks in Ireland (FIBI) for a two-year term.
Mr Lowey, who succeeds Eamonn Tuohy of Belfius Bank, was educated at Blackrock College and has a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Economics from University College Dublin and a Diploma in Accounting from University of Ulster.
He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and has more than 20 years of experience in banking, asset management, the funds industry and auditing.

"The recent appointment of Minister Simon Harris with specific responsibility for international financial services, combined with a more positive outlook for the Irish economy, creates an ideal environment for the promotion of Ireland as an attractive location for financial services. I am looking forward to continuing the constructive engagement with the minister that started in 2014", Mr Lowey said.
