Personal computer maker Gateway yesterday reported third-quarter profit up 35 per cent, meeting analysts expectations, boosted by sales of products and services outside of personal computers.
The San Diego-based company, which employs 1,600 people in Dublin, matched expectations with third-quarter earnings of $152.6 million (€177 million), or $0.46 per diluted share, compared with net income of $113.2 million, or $0.35 per share a year ago.
