Greencore has expanded its baking and agri-chemicals businesses through two small acquisitions in England and Northern Ireland. No consideration has been disclosed in either case, but Greencore's outlay for the family-owned businesses firms is small. Its bakery subsidiary in the UK, Kears, has bought W.W. Bellamy, a Manchester company which supplies many major British retailers. Greencore's agri-chemical subsidiary, Interchem, has acquired Clarendon Agricare, a Northern Ireland distributor of agricultural chemicals.
