Pharmaceutical firm Horizon Pharma today announced 60 new jobs at the official opening of its global headquarters in Dublin.
The positions will be created in the areas of Research and Development, supply chain and finance, over the next three years.
Horizon Pharma chief executive Timothy Walbert said Dublin has a deep pool of talented young people, from which the company can draw.
“The opening of our new corporate headquarters is a significant milestone in the company’s development and Dublin provides a perfect location from which to manage our company,” he added.
IDA chief executive Martin Shanahan said Ireland has built up a cluster of bio pharma companies in recent years.
“This cluster has been further strengthened by Horizon Pharma’s decision to locate its new HQ in Dublin and creating sustainable employment across a number of business functions.”
Horizon Pharma specialises in treatments for arthritis, pain and inflammatory disease.
