Staffing issues have come to the fore, as part of the overhaul of the company following the regime change that has resulted in the installation of O'Brien's business partner, Leslie Buckley, as chairman.

It was reported at the weekend that IN&M is hiring about 20 new multi-tasking journalists to work across the titles.


Satisfaction surveys
One of our snouts tells us that all staff are also being asked to complete satisfaction surveys.

US consultants have been drafted in for an analysis of the output of several departments, using time and motion studies and whatnot.

Apparently, the consultants are called Proud Foot. It sounds like some people are going to get a kick.
