Ms Alison Phelan has been appointed to the new position of sales and marketing information analyst at Gallaher (Dublin) Ltd. Ms Phelan is former Lombard and Ulster Banking sales and marketing executive, and a business studies graduate of Trinity College, Dublin. IFG Mortgages has appointed Mr Eddie Shaw as a director. Originally from Mullingar, Co Westmeath, Mr Shaw has worked as franchise manager with IFG Mortgages since he joined the company nearly two years ago.

Mr Barry Wacksman has been appointed managing director of Ebeon's New York office. Prior to joining Ebeon, Mr Wacksman was vice-president of business development at R/GA, where he founded and launched a strategic services division.

Irish Sugar has appointed Mr Victor Quinlan, a Tipperary farmer who holds a degree in Agricultural Science from University College Dublin, to the board. Mr Quinlan represented farmers as a member of the beef section of the IFA between 1987 and 1999.

Hertz Lease has made two appointments - Mr Michael Hegarty as divisional manager fleet management and Mr Paul Mulryan as maintenance cost controller.

Mr Steve McNally joins Eden Recruitment as IT contracts manager, heading up the company's new specialist contracts division.

The ICC Bank board of directors has been joined by Prof Brian Hillery of the Graduate School of Business, UCD. Prof Hillery is also chairman of UniCredito Italiano Bank (Ireland) and a director of Europlus Research and Management.

Mr Sean Donnelly, former executive of Forbairt, has been appointed chairman of exchange solution provider, Crystalynx. Mr Donnelly is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
