While it's legacy will not be forgotten for quite some time - the physical fingerprint left by Anglo Irish Bank was all but completely wiped from Dublin's landscape yesterday after a Starbuck's sign was quietly slotted into place over the door of what used to be the be infamous bank's headquarters on St Stephen's Green.

It used to be a place where hideously complicated - and ultimately ruinous - decisions were made but from now on the most complicated decisions that are likely to be made on the will centre around which of the famous US coffee’s brand’s convoluted coffees to order.

The coffee chain has yet to serve its first customer but the branch is in the process of being fitted out and it will take up a significant portion of the ground floor of the former bank.
