When Apple unveiled the iPad Pro, with its monstrous 12.9-inch screen, people took note. The oversized tablet wasn't for everyone, but it had a certain market in mind.
Then came the 9.7-inch Pro, the more recognisable version that went up against the regular iPad – but with a more expensive price tag. Now there’s the 10.5-inch version, announced at Apple’s developer conference in June.
If you want a tablet just for watching movies and browsing the web, the iPad Pro would probably be overkill. But it would be nice, given the quality of the display.
The new iPad has a 120Hz refresh rate versus 60Hz on the previous version, and adapts to whatever you’re using the tablet for. Apple has slimmed down the bezels either side of the screen, so although the tablet is bigger than the 9.7-inch version, it’s not massively so.
And on the inside, it has a new chip, the A10X Fusion that has 64-bit architecture and six cores. That’s more power than you could want – for now.
