Facebook takes on Snapchat

The only difference to Snapchat is that you must share a picture in order to see one your friend has sent

In case you didn't know, Facebook is for oldies and Snapchat has been where it's at for quite a while now.

Zuckerberg has got his creatives thinking and they’ve come up with Slingshot, which is basically Snapchat i.e. disposable messaging.

Thankfully you’re not required to sign in with your Facebook login because that might make the data retention aspect a bit worrisome. The only difference to Snapchat is that you must share a picture in order to see one your friend has sent – a definite design flaw.

Meanwhile Snapchat has a new feature called Our Story for sharing communal snaps at, say, a concert.
