Fleetmatics grows revenues by 31%

GPS-based fleet management systems providers says 2014 was a year of ‘tremendous progress’

Dublin based Fleetmatics, a provider of GPS-based fleet management systems, saw its revenues grow by 31 per cent in 2014, up to $64 million (€56m) the company said on Wednesday.

The company saw the number of active vehicles it has under subscription rise to 552,000, up 24 per cent year over year , as pre-tax profits double dto $14m.

Jim Travers, chairman and chief executive officer of Fleetmatics, said that 2014 was a year of "tremendous progress".

“We opened up several new geographic markets and introduced innovative new cloud based solutions for fleet and field service management all while delivering significantly improved financial results. Looking ahead, we are focused on extending our leadership position in North America, increasing our addressable market by expanding into mainland Europe, and deepening our relationship with our customers through adjacent applications that further leverage our SaaS platform,” he said.

Looking to 2015, the company expects total revenue to be in the range of $288m to $290m, which represents growth of approximately 25 per cent year-over-year at the midpoint.
