Keen to prove its premium smartphone muscle, Huawei has unveiled the new Ascend P7. The Chinese company is betting big that the current trend for selfies will see phone buyers attracted by the 8 megapixel front-facing camera, complete with special "beauty" effects that airbrush your image as you take it. Then there's the impressive 13 megapixel rear camera that has been improved to take better pictures in low light. And given Huawei's expertise in 4G, it's no surprise to see that the P7 promises better reception in this area too. There's even a dual sim version that will allow you to use the microSD slot for a nano sim card so you don't have to carry two phones while you travel. The P7 is also cheaper than its rivals at €449.
