Microsoft has unveiled a new version of its Xbox One console, doubling the hard drive space to 1TB.
The company said the new console would begin to ship from June 16th, at a price of €449. The 1TB Xbox One also comes with a new controller that includes a 3.5mm jack socket to plug your gaming headset directly into the controller, and tweaked bumpers to improve performance. The updated controller also eliminates the need to connect via USB to get updates.
Microsoft made the announcement ahead of next week's E3 games exhibition in Los Angeles. The event runs from June 16th to June 18th.
The existing Xbox One console, which comes with 500GB of space for games and other data, currently costs €399.99 in Ireland. Elsewhere, Microsoft dropped the price of the 500GB device to €349, a price cut it said would be permanent.
