Magic sword? Check. Pixelated, retro-style characters? Check. Fun? Check. Only One is a sword-fighting game that pits you against, well, everyone. Once you grab the sword and declare that you are the Only One, you become a target for everything from rival fighters and archers to unidentifiable green blobs and gnomes. They all have one goal: to defeat you. Once you clear the battlefield, a new wave of fighters arrives, and it's up to you to deal with each one. How you do it depends on your skills. Oh sure, you can hack'n'slash your way through them. But there's also the option to push them off the edge of the suspended battle arena, or use fancy footwork to dodge an attack, watching your rivals bounce off each other. You can upgrade your character over time. If you're unfortunate enough to die, you'll get a smart quip on-screen, such as "death becomes you" or "it's raining men", depending on the manner of your demise. More fun than you'd initially think, and almost impossible to put down.
