Telecoms and network equipment provider PlanNet21 is to recruit a further 50 staff to work in its new Dublin headquarters in Citywest Business Campus.
The company, which is also investing €20 million in a new data centre in Blanchardstown, has an expanding list of blue chip customers, which includes Dell, Cisco, and Polycom.
The new jobs will bring PlanNet21’s workforce to more than 150 employees .
Founded in Galway in 1998, PlanNet21 assists, mainly US companies, establish or expand their operations in Europe and Asia.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny, who cut the ribbon for the official opening of the new offices, said: “This is a great example of how an indigenous Irish company can grow to become a global player, creating high quality jobs for Irish workers.”
" The Government is determined to secure the recovery and will ensure that Ireland remains an environment where businesses can flourish and employ more people," he added.
Co-founder and chief financial officer Michael Hannon said: "This is the next phase of the business for PlanNet21 Communications, growing from humble beginnings in Galway, to now serving some of the worlds' largest blue chip companies."
