Six growing digital companies joined the enterprise cluster at Dublin’s Digital Hub in the second quarter of 2014, with the intention of creating 28 additional high-skilled jobs before the end of the year.
Together, the six companies, three of which are from outside Ireland, employ 17 people, but have strong growth plans.
The companies are Creative Nation, an Irish multi-channel network (MCN) on the YouTube platform, established in North Dublin; · Fractus Learning, an Irish company working with educators around the globe; Athena Media, an Irish transmedia production company led by former head of RTE Radio Helen Shaw; Site Improve, a Danish company which provides web governance solutions; Megatransfert Technologies, which provides a global micropayment solution; and Nice Corporate Solutions, the Irish arm of an Italian company that aims to help organisations manage digital brands worldwide.
Nick Grantham, founder of Fractus Learning, said that " the buzz of the Hub" is what attracted him.
“The character of the area, the diverse mix of companies and amazing things that small and growing teams were creating was pretty mind-blowing and inspiring for me.”
So far, 14 companies have joined The Digital Hub since the start of the year, bringing the total number of companies operating at the hub up to 75 and the number of employees up to almost 900.
