The second-generation Smarter Coffee works in both filter and grinder mode, with an app that allows you to switch between the two. The Smarter app also allows you to control the strength of your coffee , so you are more likely to get the perfect cup of coffee every time. The coffee maker also integrates with voice assistants and digital services, such as Alexa, Google Assistant, Siri and IFTTT, so you can ask Alexa to turn on and off the coffee maker without ever having to touch a button. Alexa can't shove a cup under the coffee machine though, no matter how smart the device is.
