For f.lux's sake, Apple.
The whole night mode for screens thing has been happening for years over on Android and desktops thanks to f.lux, Twilight and a few others.
Well, at least iOS users will finally get to read in bed without all that blue light disrupting their circadian rhythm.
One of the new features coming with the next major iOS update is called Night Shift. This will automatically adjust the screen by using your location in order to display warmer tones as night falls.
Not only should it lead to less eye strain but it should also reduce the amount of time it takes to fall asleep.
F.lux has written an open letter to Apple requesting that its version be allowed on to iPhones and iPads and reminding the tech company that it got there first.
