A while back I downloaded the official Thor: The Dark World Android game. As hack 'n' slash mobile games go it's mildly entertaining but I was shocked to see that it took up 1.6GB of storage. Not everyone has a smartphone with 128GB of storage so it's always a Sophie's Choice of which app to keep and which to let go. As spotted by Android Police, it looks as though Google Play has introduced a new Uninstall Manager feature offering a list of potential apps you can delete based on how much space you need to free up. It may be the case that the apps suggested for the chop are ones you haven't been using regularly as some sites have been suggesting but the APK code seems to suggest nothing more sophisticated than calculating the space needed and listing installed apps based on this. Either way, good news for the app happy downloaders in need of some extra space.
