The former investment broker, Mr Tony Taylor, plans to make a bail application to the High Court next Tuesday, his solicitor, Mr Padraic Ferry, told Dublin District Court yesterday.

Mr Taylor was remanded in custody by Judge Terence Finn until next Wednesday for service of a book of evidence on charges of fraud. Once the book was served, Mr Ferry said he would seek a further adjournment of four weeks.

Mr Taylor (52)was extradited from Britain last Friday on 15 charges of forgery and obtaining money under false pretences.
