Car sales are continuing to rise sharply, with the total number of new cars registered in the first three months of the year being 56,460, an increase of 19.2 per cent on the corresponding period last year. Looking at all vehicles licensed in the first three months, the total number at 81,189 was an increase of 16.7 per cent on the same period last year.
