Gardaí have arrested a woman (30s) in connection with a hit-and-run collision that occurred near Whitehouse Cross, Dromiskin, Co Louth on Monday, January 6th.
At about 6.25pm on Monday, gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a collision, involving a vehicle and a cyclist, on the R132 in Dromiskin, Co Louth.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 40s, was brought to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda to be treated for serious injuries. He remains in a critical condition.
A woman was arrested this morning and is being detained at a Garda station in the Lough-Cavan-Monaghan Division under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardaí say they are continuing to investigate all of the circumstances surrounding the collision.
