Distinguished actress Angela Lansbury will participate in a public interview at the Irish Film Institute in Dublin on Sunday, July 9th.

It will be followed by a screening of The Blackwater Lightship (2004), a touching television adaptation of Colm Toibin's novel in which three generations of women in the same Irish family (played by Lansbury, Dianne Wiest and Gina McKee) care for a young man (Keith McErlean) who is dying of Aids. That performance earned Lansbury one of her 18 Emmy nominations, 12 of them for playing sleuth Jessica Fletcher in Murder, She Wrote.

The IFI will also screen John Frankenheimer's The Manchurian Candidate (1962), for which Lansbury (pictured above) received the third of her three Oscar nominations, after Gaslight (1944) and The Portrait of Dorian Gray (1945).
