The Ministry of Silly Walks has made it on to Android and iOS devices. And why not? With the recent Monty Python live shows in London, the time is ripe for an app that celebrates its popular sketches. A bowler-hatted man struts through London in a variety of silly ways, avoiding obstacles by jumping over them or sliding under them. Along the way, you collect coins that can be used to buy items such as new suits (fancy a stars-and-stripes suit to replace the sober ministry issue?) or items that give you a head start, increase your invincibility or extend the time you can act as a coin magnet. There's even a bit of authenticity, with John Cleese's voice mocking your achievements – or lack thereof – when you finish the game. It's thrilling to hear the minister say "Distracted, are we?" when you trip over a wet floor sign. It's addictive. Warning: the music is liable to get stuck in your head and drive you slightly insane.
