A surprisingly enduring hit at the US box-office, Disturbia has taken more than $77 million after nine weeks in the top 10.
Described in one review as "The Breakfast Club meets Rear Window" it stars Shia LeBeouf (above) as a troubled teen under house arrest who suspects that his neighbour is a serial killer.
Now 21, LeBeouf is one of the busiest young actors in US cinema. Already seen here this year in Bobby and A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, he stars in Transformers, which opens next month, and features in the voice cast of the animated August release Surf's Up, before Disturbia opens here in September.
LeBeouf will then join Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett in the principal cast of Steven Spielberg's fourth Indiana Jones movie, which is already scheduled for international release on May 22nd, 2008.
