Coldplay have added a third and fourth concert date in Croke Park next year as part of its Music of The Spheres world tour.
The gigs will take place on September 1st and 2nd. Tickets for the new dates went on sale earlier on Tuesday for those who preregistered last week.
The general sale for all the Dublin shows – August 29th and 30th, and September 1st and 2nd – will begin at 10am this Friday at ticketmaster.ie.
Some fans hoping to secure tickets on Tuesday complained that the Ticketmaster site had crashed, with their screen reading that “an unexpected error has occurred”.

Promoter MCD said following the “sell-out success” of Coldplay’s summer 2023 European stadium run, the band announced a third run of European dates for June, July and August 2024.
“Since the first Music Of The Spheres world Tour date in March 2022, Coldplay have sold more than 7.5 million tickets – the most for any tour over the last two years,” it said.
The last time the band – comprising Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, Will Champion and creative director Phil Harvey – played in Ireland was in 2017, as part of their A Head Full of Dreams tour.
