Last year's Hardcourage album lifted FaltyDL's Drew Lustman into the next division thanks to its emotive and evocative span of highly charged beeps and bleeps. He goes deeper still on In the Wild, with various washes of rich, vibrant, colourful sound rinsed and ready for view. A track such as Some Jazz Shit signals a new range of influences for Lustman to roll out, as its beautifully contoured groove and dubstep re-do ebbs and flows without losing the interest of the listener. Elsewhere, you can see the intricate, detailed production talent which has seen Lustman find favour with James Blake, The xx, Disclosure, Scuba and others. As hinted at previously, he has found a way to push bittersweet romance and heartbreak drama into the tracks, as seen by Grief especially. But he's also adept at showing a harder edge, as seen on Danger. faltydl.com Download: Some Jazz Shit, Danger
