Track of the week:
Glitterball by Ella Henderson and Sigma
Is it too late to nominate a song of the summer? If not, this is our pick. A feel-good disco banger, all about spotting your one true love on the dancefloor. Imagine Adele in a spectacularly good mood, with a chart-friendly drum-and-bass backing band. Excellent.
Hero of the week is, forever and always, Niall Horan. He told TOTP magazine that fame hasn't changed him: "What's happened over the last few years has been incredible. But I just stay the same person I was and grow up with it." He went on: "To be honest, I don't get that much paparazzi because you can stay away from it if you want to. I'm probably the worst celebrity on Earth, 'cos I don't go to any of those parties. I'll just go somewhere where the paps won't look for me. I don't particularly put myself out there."
In TV news, Rita Ora's off to The X Factor. She told the Sun that she wasn't sure about it at first, "but it just fit into place perfectly. And the time commitment worked perfectly for me." She continued, "What made it special was when Simon asked me about X Factor, he told me about his plans for the show and how he was going to change it up."
Zero of the week is record labels, according to Charli XCX. She told Paper magazine: "I think there's this 21st-century idea of what sells records, especially within females, but there's no cookie-cutter pop star . . . I think record labels still try and cram artists into that, but the artists who are successful are the ones that tell them to f**k off."
