Irish rock band U2 played a surprise concert on the platform at Berlin’s U2 underground train line on Wednesday to promote their new album.
The event was less spontaneous happening than well-planned guerilla marketing event for Songs of Experience.
The band's 15-minute unplugged performance, including new songs and favourites such as One and Sunday, Bloody Sunday was filmed and will be made available on their Facebook page.

U2 have had a long connection to the German capital, recording their 1991 album Achtung Baby here.
As passengers stood on the platform of the "Deutsche Oper" station, with yellow trains zipping by on the century-old line, The Edge remarked dryly: "Great that Berlin named a U-Bahn after us."
