ART
The Source of Inspiration
Mount Venus Nursery, Mutton Lane, Dublin Sep 27-28 mountvenusnursery.com
Nature is the common source of inspiration for the five artists featured in the stunning setting of Mount Venus Nursery, which is within the walled garden at Tibradden, the house documented in Selina Guinness's acclaimed memoir The Crocodile by the Door. Remco de Fouw and Rachel Joynt are known for their subtle, immersive, usually time-based works. Killian Schurmann is an established artist in glass. Less well known, perhaps, are Ciaran Burke, gardener, teacher and photographer, and Liat Schurmann, whose painstaking, meditative collages, are ambitious and exceptional. If you haven't been there, grab the chance.

Against today’s reality of invisible migrant workers and returning vices, it looks for hope, beginning with a local fortune teller from the past.
