The cast of the cult US comedy show It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are in Dublin this weekend to film segments for its upcoming 15th season, and they're looking for someone to stand in on the show for Danny DeVito, one of its stars.
"Yes, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are coming to Ireland! And we need a Danny DeVito Double. Shooting is this Sunday, August 29, and the location is Dublin. Height: 4ft5, Large, Waist pant 41. If you know anyone that could work, please share, this is paid work," a post on the company's Facebook page says.
DeVito has been in the show since its second season, in 2006. He plays one of the group of dysfunctional friends who run Paddy’s Pub, an unsuccessful Irish bar in Philadelphia.
The show’s renewal last year for its 15th season – which is set to feature the Covid-19 pandemic as a plot point – makes it the longest-running live-action sitcom in television history. FX Networks, the Disney-owned company that makes the series, confirmed in December that it had renewed It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia for another four seasons in total.
