Fingal Film Festival
This year’s Fingal Film Festival hosts more than 60 films and innovative workshops, running until tomorrow. Events will be held in Movies@Swords at the Swords Pavilions, offering a platform for emerging independent film makers.
Last night's opening featured the premiere of Palo Alto (2014), the debut feature from Gia Coppola, while workshops over the weekend include an animation workshop led by Robert Cullen and a sound design session with Niall Brady (Frank) and Steve Fanagan (Game of Thrones). See fingalfilmfest.com.
New Ross Piano Festival

For the inaugural fringe, the Ebony and Irony festival, audiences can expect events based loosely on the black and white theme of piano keys.
Season ticket €110; tickets for individual concerts €5-€25. Concessions for senior citizens and students; masterclasses free. See newrosspianofestival.com.
