This is the best cheesecake I have ever eaten

Shelf Help: Buttery in texture, it will even appeal to those who don’t have a sweet tooth

What is it? Baby Basque Burnt Cheesecake by Coconut & Moo Moo (€5/140g).

Who makes it? The business is run by husband and wife Simon and Summer Black, who both previously worked in IT. Summer is the baker and Simon does deliveries and marketing.

What’s good about it? I don’t have a sweet tooth but I loved this. The cheesecake is almost buttery in texture, incredibly creamy and luscious, with a great natural vanilla flavour.

How do I use it? It has to be stored in a fridge but I recommend taking it out about 20 minutes before you want to eat it to fully appreciate the flavours and texture. I bought the single serve mini one that comes in a plastic tub but you can also buy it in slices or as a whole cake in a variety of sizes.

Where can I buy it? I discovered it while doing a big shop at the Asia Market store at Ballymount, off the M50 in Dublin 12, which is well worth a visit. You can also order online at coconutandmoomoo.com and collect at the bakery at the IDA Business Park in Bray, A98 X5P5, as well as at several pick-up locations in Dublin. There is door-to-door delivery within a 20km radius of the bakery.
