I first covered the Marks & Spencer Classics Range soon after it was launched three years ago. It has now grown to more than 30 wines, all available in stores across Ireland. The labelling is simple and easy to understand. The idea is to showcase classic styles of wine from around the world at affordable prices. Overall, I think it succeeds. Most of the wines were true to their origin and offer very good value for money.
For the next few weeks, Marks & Spencer has a special offer on some of the Classics range. In addition to the two wines below, I would recommend the Classics No30 Grüner Veltliner (€10.40 down from €13), the Classics No. 15 Picpoul de Pinet (€10.60 down from €13.25) and the Classics No. 23Chianti Riserva (€10.49 down from €13).
