Irish sheepskin to keep you warm

Sharon Greene and Kari Cahill’s sheepskins tap into our heritage

The Icelandicisation of Ireland continues apace, as we proudly re-engage with aspects of our past that we had discarded as shameful.

The latest is the rebranding of sheepskins as ethnic design icon by Sharon Greene, co-founder of The Dublin Flea Market, and her partner Kari Cahill whose granny sold sheepskins door to door in the 1960s. Their motto is “Repossessing pride in our heritage”. The pelts in natural brown or white cost from €75.

There are also phenomenally soft sheepskin cowls which for €65 act like insulation for the neck. We certainly don't remember sheepskin being this soft. irishscarfskin.com
